UTAH

The 3rd state on the trip appears to be the proverbial "Terrible State" .. I think that this message from CT's blackberry says it all (or most of it at least..);

"...We're in the "no fun" State that is Utah, run by the Mormon voodoo mumbu jumbo people (no disrespect to Jumbs). Checked in at motel last night. Asked the bloke on the front desk where a local bar is to which he replied "Ain't no bar in this town. They tried to open up a saloon a while back and we ran em out of town. They even tried to open one of them tattoo places and we ran that out of town too. You boys need to know that this here's a good Mormon town."
Roll on Colorado and the Rockies. Just about to leave Panguitch, Utah. Heading for Boulder, Utah today. Then Hanksville - Blanding- Monticello (all Utah). Had a nice lunch in Beaver, Utah yesterday ...

About 850 miles done.
Puncture count: bugs 2-1 sumo
Instances of abuse from redneck pick up truck drivers: 5
People who've said "why are you going so late in the year - how are you going to get over the Rockies in October?" : about 15.."

They made it through Utah - lets hope that the last comment was not prophetic...The camera didn't appear to be working, perhaps it too was in a terrible state, so no pics for Utah. I did however find a photo of two Mormon missionaries cycling on the moon, so I though that would suffice. Roll on Colorado indeed.
